IMIC is planning a more international second edition that focuses on industrial predictive maintenance

It will take place from 28 May to 1 June 2018, at the same time as BIEMH.

The second edition of IMIC – Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference is aiming to strengthen its international and industrial profile. Its Committee of Experts already met to decide on possible speakers and main themes for the 2018 programme. Directors from IK4 Tekniker, Tecnalia, ITP-Industria de Turbo Propulsores, Sisteplant, Petronor, Nortegas Energía Distribución, Bahía de Bizkaia Electricidad and Lulea University of Technology took part in the meeting, which focused on the need to explore predictive maintenance in the field of advanced manufacturing.

Intelligence is the key in maintenance management, so IMIC will cover the principles of anticipation, efficiency and effectiveness of Industry 4.0 with the aim of analysing its advantages and determining factors under a strategic and technological approach. In order to do so, this year IMIC will have a second consultative body, the International Scientific Committee, made up of ten specialists from all over the world, who will study the conference’s preliminary programme. Once it has been defined, it will be sent to professional visitors together with a survey to gauge interest, which will help to adapt contents, as it was done in 2016.

Discussions on success stories and the presentation of practical experiences will be some of the highlights at the conference. The speakers will be end users of leading sectors in the field of maintenance technologies, technology centres, equipment manufacturers and technical suppliers, R&D managers and developers.

In view of the success of the first edition, in which 85% of visitors rated the level of the speakers as highly satisfactory and 78% said their expectations were met, IMIC will keep its original format. As well as the conference area, there will be an exhibition area with the latest technological products and services, and networking spaces where visitors will be able to meet the sector’s most influential national and international figures.

The event will take place from 28 May to 1 June 2018 at the same time as BIEMH, so visitors will be able to take advantage of the many synergies that this leading advanced manufacturing platform offers. More than 1,500 exhibiting companies and 40,000 visitors from 57 countries attended this fair in 2016.

IMIC-Industrial Maintenance Innovation Conference is organised by EasyFairs and Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
